My story
As someone who was assigned female at birth, I've always felt incredibly disconnected from my body and how I am perceived by those around me. For the longest time, I had no idea why I felt like it wasn't actually me looking back at me in a mirror. And it wasn't until I discovered the LGBTQIA+ community that things started to make sense.
For years, I unknowingly struggled with gender dysphoria, and I now continue to struggle knowing that there are procedures that can help me feel more like myself.
I'm excited to now be in a position mentally to work towards these procedures, but, unfortunately, mental readiness isn't enough... I need to be financially ready too, and that's where I'm hoping you can help.
The cost of treatment is expensive, and I'm not in a position to afford it on my own. So, I'm reaching out to my community for support. I truly believe that these treatments will not only improve my physical health and well-being, but they will also help me feel more comfortable and confident in my own skin.
Any amount you can give, no matter how small, will be incredibly appreciated and will bring me one step closer to achieving my goal of gender affirmation
