Evening friends!
Leaving it right down to the last hours of the weekend to update this week, sozzles but HOW is it already Sunday night? Where has this weekend gone? GET BACK HERE AND LET ME LOVE YOU!!!

So what can I tell you about my week... honestly not that much happened. Its been a bit of a productively chilled 7 days which honestly I think I needed after the productivity madness of last weekend. For real that has got to be kept as a once a quarter thing for my own well-being! I spent a lot of time planning for my room redecorating which meant hours of wishlisting on Amazon and Etsy and going round my local Tesco, B&M and Home Bargains looking for anything I could use to Harry Potter my room up. It has so far been a success and it think I have everything I want ordered decoration wise, I even found I wall mounted metal stag head which I'm going to spray paint silver and then cover in blue tint glow in the dark paint to look like Harry's patronus! Its going to look SO awesome when its done, just waiting on the furniture now so I know what wall space I have! My room is looking a bit of a sorry state right now though cause I've taken all my previous posters and little nerdy bits down and put them into storage, sadness but I'll be worth it!

I saw The Nun on Friday night which as you'll know (unless you've been living under a rock for the last few weeks) has been hyped up to be the scariest film of the year and a new entry into The Conjuring film series. I can confirm that not only is the film terrifying in all the right ways... AKA it doesn't rely on jump scares (for real the suspense was chilling!) BUT it was a legitimately good film story wise and just every-other-thing-wise. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the way they connected it back to the original series was just perfect. If you haven't seen it yet I really recommend you do, especially if you're a fan of the main series. It gives context to a seemingly unimportant scene from the first film that I'm sure will help to shape how the next instalment of the main series is told. But yes, you have every right to be scared!

The weekend has been a bit more 'productive' and even included some socialising! On Saturday I attended my work summer BBQ at a place I never even knew existed but it was like such a stunning sight and the perfect place for our event. I'm fortunate enough to work with people that I would be more than happy to call my friends in every case, so it was really nice to see everyone outside of the office for a change! We had a rounders competition which was hilarious because of the competitiveness of everyone, a tasty tasty BBQ and because it was a family BQQ, we even had a bouncy castle and other inflatables! All round good way to have spent my Saturday afternoon!
Since then I've just been binging games and I even got a movie in! Unfortunately the new PS + games for released last week and Iron Fist season 2 got released onto Netflix so despite being able to tick stuff off on the progress trackers, I've added exactly the same amount of stuff as unwatched and unplayed so literally ZERO progress *sign*. That should be in for the month though and while I'm going through indie games for a few weeks, I should be able to get a fair few ticked off quite quickly.

I've got to mention though, I played one of the most INFURIATING games this weekend that I have played in a long time....Aarus Awakening. I cannot put into words the rage I felt in my soul while playing this game and the amount of times I almost threw my controller at my TV... wow. My family even questioned what I was doing up in my room because all they could here was sounds of pain and torture from my soul! When I finished it I literally had to take a time out and just lay down before I exploded! I also played 10 Second Ninja, Absolver and Airmech Arena. As it turns out Absolver and Airmec are more online based so while I've played them for long enough to tick them off, I'll probably go back to them. I also started AdVenture Capitalist which I fear I will become horrendously addicted to but we'll see!
I also watched Leatherface, which if you don't know is the prequal story to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I found the film interesting to watch more than anything because as a viewer we were given an insight into how Jed's upbringing lead to him becoming Leatherface and I was able to link it back to my profiling studies which was cool. Speaking of which I intend to start Unit 2 of my CSI course tomorrow!
I've also made some minor adjustments to the website today on the progress trackers. I changed the main page buttons to look and function better and added some blurb onto the pages. Minor... but it makes the pages look so much better!
That's basically it though! I pretty dull but much needed chilled week to be honest...I'll be continuing to binge games and Netflix into next week so hopefully I'll be able to get a fair few things ticked off as the week progresses!
Until next time...
Rx
